Scalable Behavioral Health

COVID-19 has exacerbated a pre-existing mental health crisis, forcing health systems to re-engineer under-resourced behavioral health services. Health systems must develop a new model of care that uses technology to supplement in-person care, dramatically extending service offerings while overcoming provider shortages.

In this report, we’ll provide background on why the behavioral health system is so complex, how COVID’s impacts on patients and health systems are impacting behavioral health patients, how we think about segmenting the population, and how technology can be used to improve systems of care to better scale limited behavioral health resources and improve patient care.
